Ling is a printmaker. She was a member of the “GRAPHIC ARTS WORKSHOP” in San Francisco for 12 years and is a member of the “CALIFORNIA SOCIETY OF PRINTMAKERS“. She was an artist in residence at “HAMMERHEAD STUDIO“, under the “BankART” program from May 2012 – April 2014 as well as a BankART ARTIST IN RESIDENCY in 2017. Her work has appeared in numerous solo and group show exhibitions.

Ling works mainly in Monotype, which is a printmaking technique using inks or paints on unmarked plates. Using this technique creates one of a kind artworks similar to an artist who makes a painting.
Her main theme is primitive emotions that burst in her mind but are indescribable using words in any language.
She enjoys printmaking’s unpredictable nature. You don’t know the result till you print the image onto a paper no matter how hard you work on the plates. She believes printmaking’s method serves as her filter to clarify images and ideas. It brings out new perspectives to her thoughts and works as a great tool to express her vision. Never bound by degrees of skill or tradition, the simple joy motivates her to pursue fine art printmaking.
